At Bihamba Skilling Initiative, our training is practical, relevant, and rooted in the realities of our community. We equip youth, single mothers, and vulnerable groups with real hands-on skills that open doors to self-employment and income generation — but we go far beyond technical lessons.

Hands-On Practical Skills
Trainees master in-demand trades — tailoring and carpentry — using real tools, modern machines, and materials that prepare them for the market. By the end of training, they can produce quality garments or furniture that meets local and regional demand.

Confidence & Self-Reliance
Through daily practice, teamwork, and mentorship, trainees grow in confidence. Many come to us discouraged or overlooked; they leave believing in themselves, proud of what they can create with their own hands.

Entrepreneurship & Business Know-How
We don’t just want our trainees to look for jobs — we want them to create opportunities. Each learner is trained in financial literacy, pricing, saving, marketing, and basic customer care so they can run small businesses or cooperatives successfully.

Community & Mentorship
We link trainees to experienced local artisans and business owners for apprenticeships and real-world experience. They build networks, learn how to handle clients, and join support groups that help them succeed long after graduation.
